Introduction
RFID is called Radio
Frequency Identification. It is an automatic identification method
which relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using RFID
devices. RFID system consists of three components: antenna,
transceiver and transponder. Data stores in the transponder which
also called RFID tag. Transceivers read and write data from the RFID
tags through the antenna. The significant advantage of RIFD is
non-contact and the responding time is fast. It can be used for
machine maintenance control of an auto car park system.
Technology
RFID Machine
Maintenance Control used RFID technology for maintenance purpose.
For an auto car park system, pallets are common to use for storing
vehicles which is conveniently to transfer the vehicle with pallets.
RFID tag can be stuck on the pallet for storing information of
pallets and information of parking vehicles. It is useful for
maintenance and system management.
Features
-
Storing Pallet Information
The tag
can be stored the information of pallet, such as starting date,
total served time, total empty time, number of vehicle served,
etc. Engineers can use the pallet information to estimate the
time need to repair or replace the pallet.
-
Storing Parking Information
After a
vehicle parked on a pallet, the tag can store the information of
parking vehicle. Start/finish parking time, types of vehicle,
license number of vehicle, etc, can be stored for system
operation.
-
Automatic Build Up Parking Data
Once all
the parking data is lost or confusion, the system can
automatically scan all the tag of pallets to build up the
parking database again. It can dispense human input the data
into the system.
-
Highly Efficiency
Since
the read/write speed of tag is fast, it would not affect or
retard the operation of system. RFID can be read through a
variety of substances such as fog, paint, crusted grime, dusty
and other visually and environmentally challenging conditions,
where barcodes or other optically read technologies would be
useless.
