EMSD headquarter solar photovoltaic panel system, comprising over 2,300 photovoltaic panels that can generate up to 350kW of electricity. It can produce some 200,000 to 400,000kWh of electricity every year from direct sunlight, representing 3 to 4 per cent of the building's electricity consumption. The redundant PLCs were used for monitoring the system operation.
