The Cross-Harbour
Tunnel is the first tunnel in Hong Kong that was built
under water. Since its construction, traffic has
increased for it to become the busiest route in Hong
Kong and among the busiest tunnels in the world. As of
March 2005, 121,700 vehicles were using it daily. In
this project, two sets of redundant
PLCs which located at two ends of
tunnel for receiving and calculating the signal of
luminosity from luminance photometers. Several stages of
illumination could be output to EIB system for providing
continuously changes of illumination at tunnel entrance.
