The system uses a combination of hardware and software components to provide a control facility for the lighting control system in the Science Park. A protocol translation takes place in the FieldServer. A SLC processor providing a memory location for the storage of command in this system. Commands will be sent by the BACnet workstation, which having the protocol BACnet Ethernet. Commands via a hub input to the FieldServer to translate to DF1 protocol and input to the SLC processor. Central Controller obtains commands from SLC processor through the RSLinx, then ECSGateway, ECS DDE Server, ECS Message Server sending commands to the Area Controller, then to the Lighting Control Module to switch on or off a set of luminaries.
